Amy
joined Cheshire Parker Schneider Bryan & Vitale in January 2010. She is a native
of Fayetteville, North Carolina and has lived in Raleigh since the fall of 2005.
Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with distinction from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 and earned her Juris Doctor from the
University of North Carolina School of Law in 2005. Amy was admitted to the NC
State Bar in August of 2005.
While working towards her Juris Doctor degree at UNC, Amy gained significant
exposure to family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support,
alimony, property distribution and domestic violence. In the summer of 2004, Amy
worked as a clerk with the law firm of Conrad, Trosch & Kemmy in Mecklenberg
County practicing exclusively family law. During her final year of law school,
Amy represented indigent clients in family law matters through her work with the
Civil Legal Assistance Clinic at UNC Chapel Hill.
Since her admission to the Bar in 2005, Amy has focused her practice exclusively
on family law. As a result, Amy is well-versed in the new rules and procedures
of the Wake County Family Court System. Her knowledge and experience has made
her a comfortable trial attorney who is also successful resolving cases without
litigation.
As an active member of the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project and the Community
Legal Project, Amy earned more than 100 hours of Pro Bono Service as a law
school student giving valuable legal advice to women in need. She is currently a
member of the Junior League of Raleigh and continues to serve her community
through active volunteer work.
Amy is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association
and the Wake County Bar Association.
